From November 13, 2023 Final solution of the electronic system of the UBO register has been launched. Companies which have already submitted details of the company\u2019s UBOs before that date are requested to proceed with the confirmation of the details the latest until February 29, 2024.<\/p>\n

Regardless this deadline, in case an ownership structure changes, a legal entity is obliged to submit updated information to the Registrar within 14 days, and any newly registered company should submit details of its ubo within 30 days from the registration date.<\/p>\n

Annually from 1st<\/span> and until 31st<\/span>\u00a0December the responsible officer of the company is required to confirm details of the ubo and its ownership in the system.<\/p>\n

Incompliance with the new requirements will result in fines. Legal entity and each of its officers shall be liable to a fine of \u20ac200 and a further fine of \u20ac 100 for each day of continuation of the violation with a maximum total fine of \u20ac 20,000 unless officers can prove that exercised due diligence and took steps in order to submit details of the ubo to the Registrar. Also, company officers can be subject to criminal liability or prosecution.<\/p>\n
